RAD self myofascial release is a self-massage technique that uses specialized, high-density tools (such as RAD Roller) to apply sustained pressure to restricted muscles and fascia. RAD tools are made from medical grade silicone, which makes them easier to keep clean. You can purchase tools at Mer massage & Ashiatsu in the Mer mobility room. Or, you can just continue to come to our classes and have community support and continued learning with a professional yoga instructor, and/or a licensed massage therapist. Pregnancy Massage

a pregnancy massage (prenatal massage) is a specialized, gentle massage tailored for expectant mothers to relieve common discomforts like back pain, swelling, and stress by focusing on specific needs during pregnancy, using safe positioning (side-lying with pillows) and techniques (often Swedish style) to improve circulation, relaxation, and overall well-being for both mother and baby. If you book with Alondra, she can use the pregnancy cushion so that you can lay face down. She can also do side-lying. While Sheila only does the side-lying positioning without the pregnancy cushion.

Habitue Ashiatsu is our deep tissue style of Ashiatsu suggested for regular patrons who are accustomed to receiving ashiatsu. An aficionado who understands the varied depths of pressure and the stylized palpation used to interpret your body’s individual needs.

Ashiatsu massage is done with the hands and the feet. A fluid deep tissue massage using the hands to apply the oils or ashi butter, and using the feet to apply consistent fluid massage with the full surface of the foot, for a broader more consistent firm pressure. A broader softer heel to apply pressure at pinpointed areas. Different angles of the foot used to apply various types of pressure.
